Canon R5 Hot shoe

Can you believe that at my last beach wedding at First Landing State Park my speedlight (flash) fell off my camera! It seems that on the new R5 mirrorless cameras the screws that secure the hot shoe plate are located underneath as expected, but you have to open the back of the camera for access! My camera is just a year old! Canon was awesome at doing a quick repair, and now my primary R5 is back in business ready for this week’s wedding! I always have a second camera on me at all events – and I have been an exclusive Canon user since I began in this business!
